"Touring Tips"
~ Bright or light colored clothing is a MUST.
~ Leave a little room in your panniers for food you can purchase along the route or supplies you may have neglected to bring.
~ Wear a helmet (please don't show up at the start of ANY ERRC activities without one).
~ Always stop off the roadway.
Inexpensive Eating (Try ‘Um - You'll Be Pleasantly Surprised)
#1 - Buy a can of lentil soup - open can, take spoon out of panniers and EAT IT cold - DELICIOUS!
#2 - Tie a loaf of good quality bread to your panniers and purchase a small can of peanut butter - can you spell Y U M M Y???
#3 - Stay away from heavy, meaty, greasy food - it's NOT touring fuel!
#4 - Stick to complex carbohydrates and drink LOTS of water - you'll feel better!
#5 - Eat OFTEN (at LEAST every 2 hours) and your energy level won't drop off.
